People on the move: Skyscanner, JustEat, Boots, Sky Media, and more
This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions. This week's features moves at Dentsu Aegis Network, Skyscanner, Ogilvy, GroupM, VCCP Singapore, Digitas and The Trade Desk.

Dentsu Aegis Network
Dentsu Aegis Network has renewed its focus on the core UK market, elevating Euan Jarvie to the role of chief executive officer for the UK & Ireland.
Skyscanner
Skyscanner has appointed Joanna Lord as chief marketing officer, a role which will entail management of the flight fare aggregator’s approximately 300-strong marketing department.
Just Eat
Just Eat has snapped up EasyJet's Alberto Rey Villaverde as chief data officer as the takeaway food delivery marketplace looks to shape up its intelligence capabilities.
Publicis Sapient
Publicis Sapient has named Nigel Vaz as it’s new global chief executive officer, succeeding Alan Wexler who will become chairman. Steve King has also been promoted to chief operating officer while Lloyds' director of innovation and communications, Ros King, has joined the agency as executive vice-president of global clients.
GroupM
GroupM has hired influential advertising analyst Brian Wieser as its global president of business intelligence. He joins from Pivotal Research and will report to the WPP-owned media buying agency's global chief executive Kelly Clark.
Ogilvy
Ogilvy UK has appointed One Green Bean managing director Matt Buchanan to the new role of head of PR and influence.
Cord Worldwide
Cord Worldwide has appointed Sony Interactive Entertainment's Alastair Lindsay as head of audio.
Digitas
Digitas has appointed former Ogilvy UK strategy partner James Whatley to the same role to power up the team's mobile insights and bridge the product and technology teams. Whatley joins after seven years at Ogilvy.
Manifesto
Manifesto has appointed Neil Clark as service design lead. In the newly created role, Clark will enhance Manifesto’s ability to act as a strategic partner to clients, supporting their transformation efforts and helping them innovate new products and experiences.
Edelman
Edelman has named renowned marketer Judy John as its first-ever global chief creative officer, effective April 29. John, the visionary behind the Always #LikeAGirl global phenomenon, will lead Edelman’s Creative network.
Boots
Adam Zavalis is leading his role as Aldi's UK marketing director to join Boots UK as its director of brand and communications.
Droga5
Droga5 has promoted Heather Cuss and Rebecca Lewis as joint managing directors. The pair were previously account directors.
Mindshare
Zenith's current global digital operations lead, Ali Parsyar, has been appointed by Mindshare to take up the role of chief digital and performance officer at its UK agency. Chris Camacho is also joining Mindshare as its chief performance officer across the EMEA region.
Sky Media
Sky Media has hired MediaCom's Sarah Jones. She will join as head of strategy
RAPP UK
RAPP UK has appointed Katie Carruthers as creative director and Anthea Goodrick as associate creative director to help lead the creative output across the agency.
Brilliant Noise
Former-Dentsu European chair of global marketing services, Jim Kelly, has joined Brilliant Noise as a board director. Kelly will help steer Brilliant Noise’s hybrid agency services and in-housing consultancy.
Dept
Dimi Albers has been promoted too global chief executive of Dept. He was previously managing director.
VCCP iX
VCCP has made three senior hires in its experience design and engineering studio, VCCP iX. Thady Ramos joins as business director from Possible while Hazel Coleman is joining as project director, and Jasper Bell as senior product strategist.
MoFilm
MoFilm, part of You & Mr Jones, has hired the visual artist, Lorie Jo Trainor Buckingham. Buckingham will be responsible for developing its community of global creators and writing filmmaker briefs with brands.

TBWA
TBWA has elevated Ara Hampartsoumian from managing director to chief executive of its Singapore office. He joined the Omnicom Group in 2014 after leaving BBH.
MRM McCann
Former creative director at Publicis Groupe's Beacon Communications, Kazz Ishihara, has joined MRM McCann as executive creative director in Japan. This is a newly-created position.
Dentsu Aegis Network
UBS banker, Volker Doberanzke has been hired by Dentsu Aegis Network as global president of business operations.
WPP AUNZ
WPP AUNZ has appointed digital transformation specialist Adam Good to the newly created role of executive director, marketing technology.
Merkle
Merkle has brought in Frank Zhang as chief operating officer of Merkle APAC. He will be responsible for achieving operational excellence in the region.
Veon
Veon has hired Alex Kazbegi as chief strategy officer. In his new role, Kazbegi oversee Veon's efforts to identify growth and business development opportunities.
DOCOMO Digital
Jonathan Kriegel has been appointed as DOCOMO Digital’s chief executive. He will step up from his current role as the chief transformation officer.
VCCP Singapore
Andrew Hook has joined VCCP Singapore as regional executive creative director. he will lead the agency’s creative output for the agency’s global, regional and local clients.
FreakOut
FreakOut has appointed Sangjae Lee to the role of country manager at its newly-opened office in South Korea. In his new role, Lee will lead and expand its operations in Korea.

MeringCarson
MeringCarson has hired Mark Taylor as its chief creative officer. He will replace Greg Carson, who recently became partner/chief creative officer at Crown & Greyhound.
Dagger
Dagger has hired Al Patton as chief creative officer - the first post of its kind since the 2013 inception of the Atlanta-based content agency. Patton joins Dagger from 22squared, where he served as executive creative director of the Atlanta office.
AKA
Emmy award-winning executive, Steve Grimes, has been appointed to the newly-created role of chief digital officer at AKA.
Solve
Ryan Murray has been promoted to director of account management at Solve. Formerly account director/partner, in his new role, Murray will oversee the account management discipline.
The Trade Desk
The Trade Desk has appointed Shelley Zajic as chief talent officer. Shelley will lead the company’s talent acquisition efforts around the world.
Johannes Leonardo
Johannes Leonardo has continued to expand its creative leadership team with the addition of Hope Nardini as creative director.
Tapad
Tapad has appointed Ajit Thupil as its first senior vice president of identity. Based in New York, Thupil will lead digital identity product, business development, and related strategic initiatives.
Kobie
Kobie has hired former Mastercard executive, Marti Beller, as the company’s new president. In her new role, Beller will help expand the breadth of Kobie’s offerings.
Omnicom Precision Marketing Group
Omnicom Precision Marketing Group has hired Nelson Freitas as global chief strategy officer, based in the group's New York headquarters.
Acceleration Partners
Acceleration Partners has promoted Emily Tetto to vice president of talent and culture. She will oversee the culture of Acceleration Partners, talent acquisition, professional development and training.
Gradient
Gradient has hired Jennifer de Fouchier as executive creative director and partner. De Fouchier has a background in experience design and luxury, having previously served as director of design at David Stark Design.
King Features
King Features announced that Rebecca Kaplan Haase has joined the company as vice president of sales and distribution where she will be responsible for digital and print syndication.
