This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions below.

EMEA people are on the move

MRM McCann

MRM McCann London has named the former TMW Unlimited head Chris Pearce as chief executive. He replaces Olly Foot, who is departing after 17 years.

The Football Association

The Football Association (FA) has appointed Mark Bullingham as its new chief executive, looking to leverage his experience leading commercial and marketing teams at the governing body.

Twitter

Twitter has a new head of global brands after confirming its appointment of Katie Ford, former chief client officer at Amobee, to the role.

Ogilvy UK

Ogilvy UK has promoted Victoria Day to head of account management, where she will be tasked with leading 170 client leadership experts.

Newsworks

Newsworks has confirmed that its chief executive Vanessa Clifford will stand down as head of the marketing agency for national newsbrands at the end of the month.

Manning Gottlieb OMD

Manning Gottlieb OMD has upped its head of planning, Clare Peters, to chief business strategist. Paddy Adams has also been promoted from head of strategy to chief strategy officer.

Warner Music Group

The creative duo of John Allison and Chris Bovill have decided to leave Warner Music Group's content studio The Firepit. They previously led Channel 4's in-house agency, 4Creative.

Williams Lea Tag

Williams Lea Tag has appointed Clare Hart as chief executive officer of the Williams Lea business unit. Hart most recently served as chief executive of Sterling Talent Solutions. Paul Carr also joins Williams Lea Tag as non-executive board director.

Engine

Robin Wight has stepped down as president of Engine. He established the agency to be a parent company to WCRS, founded in 1979.

MullenLowe Mediahub UK

The managing director of MullenLowe Mediahub, Dino Myers-Lamptey, is departing from the agency after two years. He is supposedly leaving the agency to plan a new venture.

Dare

Dare's chief executive, Michael Olaye is departing the agency after three years for personal reasons.

Born05

Utrecht based creative agency Born05 has welcomed Edward Knol as managing director. He takes over from founder Rogier Jzermans.

Bridge

Bridge has appointed Sony's former head of partnerships, David Gröger, to head up its first international office in Berlin. Under Gröger’s leadership, the Berlin office aims to grow its portfolio of local clients.

Kairos Group

The former partner and director of The Honey Partnership, Luke Bristow, has joined Kairos Group as director and head of client services. Bristow will sit across Kairos Group’s three core businesses; influencer marketing agency, Kairos Media; media owner and social publisher, Kyma Media; and gaming and esport consultancy, Kairos Esports.

Bulldog Skincare

Bulldog Skincare has appointed Richard Blake as its new global head of marketing. Blake will lead the company’s marketing activities in the UK and internationally across over 27 countries.

Cheil UK

Cheil UK has hired Laura Gibson as its head of social for creative. Gibson joins from ITV Creative where she was head of social. She will work with the rest of the agency's social team, that includes social strategists, community managers and creatives.

VCCP

VCCP has promoted its international business director, Suzie Roberts, to international managing director. Roberts' remit will be to continue to work closely with VCCP’s management teams in its offices around the world, as well as to help develop their businesses and facilitate the smooth running of the VCCP network.

APAC people on the move

Google

Google India and South East Asia vice-president Rajan Anandan is leaving the tech company for a role at Sequoia Capital.

Integral Ad Science

Integral Ad Science (IAS) has promoted Laura Quigley to take on the vacant role of managing director for its South East Asia (SEA) office.

Line

Japanese messaging app Line has announced Jungho Shin, its chief wow officer (CWO), will take on the additional role of co-chief executive from April 1.

Dentsu Aegis Network

Audrey Kuah has taken on the role of executive director of media business for Asia Pacific at Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN), on top of her current responsibilities as managing director of the network’s Global Data Innovation Centre.

DAN India has appointed Malvika Mehra as chief creative officer. Mehra will now be responsible for the agency’s creative duties across all offices.

It has also announced that the chief creative officer and co-founder of Taproot Dentsu will take on the additional responsibility of creative chairman of DAN India.

Heckler

Richard Mayo-Smith has been appointed managing director and executive produce of Heckler Singapore - its first international expansion. For two years he was executive producer at Google Zoo in Singapore, Google’s creative think tank of technologists and artists.

Entropia

Wai Khuen Yee has been named Entropia's executive creative director. In his new role, he will lead a team of ten creative directors ranging across creative disciplines such as campaign, content, CRM, UX, experiential design and personalisation.

OMD

OMD has appointed dual managing directors and a national chief operating officer. Kim Hamilton has been promoted from general manager to managing director, alongside Laura Nice. Nathan Young will take up the national chief operating officer role, moving on from his chief marketing officer position.

Shootsta

Shootsta has signed the influencer String Nguyen as a brand ambassador. In her role, Nguyen will promote Shootsta services to other influencers and work with them to scale their video content.

VMLY&R

VMLY&R has appointed Anil Nair as chief executive of VMLY&R India. Based out of VMLY&R’s Mumbai office, Nair will oversee VMLY&R’s India operation, driving growth and building on its fully integrated service.

AppNexus

AppNexus has appointed Samuel Tan as senior director, market development for JAPAC. In his new capacity, he will responsible for overseeing the company’s growth in Singapore, Japan, South East Asia, East Asia and India, in addition to his current remit of Australia and New Zealand.

Initiative

Initiative has appointed Caleb Watson as general manager of Initiative Guangzhou. Watson joins Initiative from his previous position as General Manager, Starcom Brisbane Australia.

Genero

Genero has bolstered its Australian team with two new hires. Christie Poulos joins the team as client director, while Daria Willis is joining as its first creative strategist.

Geometry

Geometry has made three new additions to its APAC regional team. Andreas Moellmann, former chief strategy officer/head of digital of Geometry Japan, has been promoted to regional chief experience officer.

Jane Perry will keep on her role as managing director, and take up the role of global client lead APAC. Executive creative director Jorge Thauby will also keep on his current role while taking up the position of global clients, executive creative director APAC.

Zalora

Zalora has appointed Silvia Thom as chief technology officer. She is taking over from Karthik Subramanian who will move on to assume the Global chief technology officer role in Global Fashion Group - Zalora's parent company.

Digitas

Digitas is bolstering its media team with the appointment of Toby Ruddock as client partner for APAC. He was most recently global client officer of Havas Media Group, Dubai.

Grey Group Indonesia

Grey Group Indonesia has appointed Patrick Miciano as executive creative director. He will be in charge of creative output for all the agency’s key accounts and creative projects.

GroupM

GroupM has appointed David Fish as chief client and business partner, a newly created, future-focused role dedicated to delivering enhanced, strategic client consultation and services.

Bacardi Limited

Barcardi Limited has appointed Jessica Merz, as director of global external corporate communications, responsible for the management, development and execution of the company’s narrative across traditional media and digital platforms. In addition, Merz will oversee all brand archives, to showcase and leverage the company’s one-of-a-kind history, as well as protect its legacy.

Proximity Worldwide

Proximity Worldwide has hired BBDO’s Richard Fraser to head up Proximity North America. In this newly-created role, he will be responsible for accelerating growth and will also focus on expanding Proximity’s capabilities and expertise in performance marketing, e-commerce, and technology and innovation.

Duncan Channon

As part of Duncan Channon's acquisition of the Los Angeles agency A2G, Amy Cotteleer will join the creative agency as partner and chief experience officer. Correleer was the founder, president and chief creative officer of A2G.

T Brand Studio

T Brand Studio, the advertising company inside The New York Times, has hired Ben James as its first head of creative. James last served as chief creative officer of J Walter Thompson New York. At T Brand, he will oversee the creative, editorial and design teams.

Magna

The investment division of IPG Mediabrands, Magna, has promoted Dani Benowitz to US president from global executive vice president, director of investment. She has been with IPG Mediabrands since 2003.

PHD

Anthony Kooziarski is to become Omnicom Media Group's (OMG) PHD's first chief media officer. He joins from Resolution Media, OMG's performance marketing division, where he held the same role.

DDB

DDB has promoted Jamie McGarry to executive vice-president, director of business development in the US. In her new role, she will oversee business development for all three DDB offices in the United States – Chicago, New York, and San Francisco.

NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises

NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises has named Christina Kolbjornsen as senior vice president of corporate and external affairs. She will be based in Miami and report to Mónica Gil, chief marketing officer and executive vice-president.

Johannes Leonardo

Johannes Leonardo has appointed Benton Roman as group executive producer. Roman will join the agency to lead day-to-day production capabilities on its newly awarded Volkswagen account.
