This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions below.

EMEA people are on the move

Spotify

Spotify’s head of ad sales, Brian Benedik, has announced he will be leaving the role in September. Neither Spotify nor Benedik has commented on the departure.

GlaxoSmithKline

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare's current marketing boss Carlton Lawson is to depart. He is to be replaced by EMEA head Tamara Rogers.

Havas

Havas has announced that Charlie Piggott has been appointed as new business director responsible for sport, culture and entertainment agency Cake. Piggott joins from integrated communications agency MullenLowe Group.

Starcom

Starcom has promoted Nadine Young to the expanded role of managing director of Starcom UK. Young will continue to lead the P&G One team.

Hey Honey

Hey Honey has appointed Tom Noble-Sabokbar as a director and the agency's first head of client services. He joins from Vice Benelux’s in-house agency, Virtue, and will be responsible for growing the business, the accounts team and directing the Harman International account.

Tag

Tag has announced the appointment of Alex Abrams as Head of Business Development for Tag EMEA.

APAC people on the move

Grab

Grab has named James Sampson as its new regional head of strategy and partnerships on GrabAds, as the ride-hailing app builds out its advertiser ecosystem. Sampson was previously vice-president and general manager of Dataxu.

Movember Foundation

The Movember Foundation has announced that former communications strategy director of Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Jason Olive, will take over the role of Australian marketing director for the charity.

Apple

Apple has announced it will take on Nick Law for an unspecified role. He leaves his current role of chief creative officer at Publicis Groupe after just 18 months.

Reebok

Reebok’s global head of marketing and brand management, Melanie Boulden, is leaving the company after just over a year to take up a management role at Coca-Cola.

Beam Suntory

Beam Suntory has appointed Jessica Spence as its first-ever president of brands, a title that will effectively replace the chief marketing officer role. Spence joins from Carlsberg and will be responsible for managing the global P&Ls of Beam Suntory’s largest brands.

Ad Council

Ad Council has named David Fischer as chair of its board of directors. He was also recently promoted to chief financial officer at Facebook.

WPP

WPP has announced its plans for Robert Guay to replace Satish Korde as global chief executive of GTB.

Copa90

Copa90 has appointed Alma Angeles to the position of vice president, brand partnerships. Angeles joins after three years at Major League Soccer where she held the position of director of partnership marketing.

Team One

Team One, today announced it has hired two new senior executives — Dr Bharath Gangula as executive director of data science and advanced analytics, and Emily Sanford as management director of digital, CRM and data application.

Happy Medium

Happy Medium has promototed Kristen Sabin to chief operating officer, Sabin was formerly the director of client experience.

Hush

Hush has added Tonian Irving to their team in the role of senior producer.

IAB

IAB has appointed Sheryl Goldstein as senior vice president, marketing and member investment, where she will be responsible for IAB's marketing and sales teams.

Mighty Hive

MightyHive has announced the appointment of Jayne Babine to the role of vice-president of a newly created partnership development team.

Socialdeviant

Socialdeviant has appointed Hart Rusen as chief creative officer.

R/GA

R/GA has also promoted Sam Levy to executive director, client services and Mike Funk to group strategy director. It has also elevated Julie Benevides from the role of senior content producer to executive content producer.
