To celebrate World Cat Day (August 8), Pokémon Go characters inhabited a 3D billboard outside Tokyo’s Shinjuku Station.

The eye-catching activation featured the likes of Pikachu, Meowth, Skitty and Purrloin flying out of Poke Balls and occupying a lush world filled with greenery, which occasionally becomes frozen over.

Previously the out-of-home (OOH) location has been home to a huge calico cat called Nya. The friendly feline has been known to interact with brands that advertise in the space, such as this Nike Air Max installation that popped up in March.
