Paramount names David Sameth as president of worldwide marketing

Sameth brings a wealth of expertise from his current position as executive vice president and head of theatrical marketing at Disney Animation Studios and Pixar.

Reporting directly to Jim Gianopulos Sameth, he will assume responsibility for the design, development and implementation of advertising and marketing strategies for future theatrical releases.

In a statement Sameth wrote: “While it is with sadness that I leave the Disney family, I’ve come to know and love, and which has provided me with amazing opportunities and projects over the last 9 years, it is with great anticipation that I look forward to the next chapter at Paramount. Exciting challenges and great things await all those there, and under Jim’s leadership, I can’t think of a more exciting place to be.”

Sameth will commence his latest starring role from 1 February, tasked with bringing his magic touch to 2018 releases following the disappointing performance of ‘Ghost in the Shell’, ‘Baywatch’ and ‘Suburbicon’ last year.
