The IAB Singapore has launched ‘Rolling Heavies’, a new video series that puts the most senior digital leaders in APAC, members of the IAB Singapore Board, on a bike to ask them about their career and experiences.
The series, launched exclusively with The Drum, aims to showcase the different backgrounds that have inspired and produced some of the best talent in the region.
Miranda Dimopoulos, CEO of IAB Singapore and ambassador to Southeast Asia, said: “Ours is in an industry driven by talent, and they come from all walks of life. The one thing they all have in common is a passion and love for digital.
“The mission behind the Rolling Heavies project was to showcase stories and insights from some of digital’s leading heavyweights in a not-so-heavy setting. It’s hard to be formal when you’re on a pedal bike at the park on a sunny afternoon. Everyone has a story to share and we hope you will enjoy this special personality profile series by IAB Singapore, offered exclusively to The Drum’s readers,” said Dimopoulos.
The first in the monthly series features Tobias Wilson, CEO of APD in Singapore and chairman of the IAB in Singapore.
On the topic of building the right culture in an agency, Wilson, said: “You need to create a vision and an environment that people want to be a part of, and be ever enthusiastic about that. It is about people and as soon as it becomes about you, it’s all over.
It needs to be about the team, it needs to be about the vision and the mission because, to be honest, CEOs leave, account directors leave and creative directors leave and the show must go on,” he added.
Future episodes of Rolling Heavies will include Su Lin Tan, deputy head of digital divisions at Singapore Press Holdings, Joe Nguyen, SVP APAC at Comscore and Michel De Rijk, APAC president of Group M’s Mplatform.
To produce The Rolling Heavies series, IAB Singapore partnered with 90 Seconds.
