Everything you need to know about creating your account on The Drum but were afraid to ask.

Why do I need to register?

This is all about giving our readers a better experience. The Drum has expanded rapidly over the last few years which means it can be harder getting to the content that’s most relevant to you. By registering as a member, we can tailor the content to your specific interests and get you closer to everything going on at The Drum.

What does membership get me?

Membership gets you even more than you had before:

  • Access to a bunch of specialist newsletters
  • Member-only invites to The Drum events
  • Eligible to submit projects to Creative Works
It’s all give, give, give!

How much does it cost?

Nothing! Put your credit card away. Basic membership is free.

How do I register?

If you’re not registered, you’ll see a pop-up asking you to register when you visit some of the content on the site.

Have I told you lately that I love you?

No. That's kind of you. But let's get to know each other a bit first.

Can I just carry on using the site without registering?

To some extent you can – but members-only content and services will require registration.

I’m a Drum magazine and app subscriber - how is this different?

The app and website have separate logins. We know this is a bit of a pain but for now you will need to register on The Drum to see content on thedrum.com.

I'm already a Drum Network Member - why am I logging in again?

You can use your existing log in details, but to help us enrich the user experience we’ll ask you for a few more details.

I was asked to register when I entered awards - do I have to register again?

Thanks for entering and good luck with the awards. We just need a few more details from you to help improve the experience of using the website.

If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?

No. Like I said, we need to get to know each other a bit better. Which is what this registration thing is all about.

What happens if I don't want to receive emails?

Simple. Just go to your account page and make sure you opt out of all the emails.

How do I update my personal details - like my phone number, email or address?

You have full control of your account. Just go to your account page and make any changes you want.

What else can I get from The Drum?

You mean aside from the free news updates, insights, research, commentary and in-depth articles? And the newsletters and events? And videos? And a print magazine? And the app? Oh, and there’s a podcast too. Oh, we also do a whole bunch of awards too. So, we’ll help match agencies and clients, provide consultation to help brands find the right agencies to work with. Maybe we need to have a chat.

Do you know the way to San Jose?

No. But Google can give you directions right here.

How do I know you're protecting my personal information?

We follow all of the EU data protection laws to the letter. But more than that, we care about our readers and make sure that everything is secure on our server. Your data is in good hands.

What are the terms & conditions?

We've created a beautiful legal banquet for you to feast your eyes on right here. Knock yourself out!

Can I call someone and speak to a human?

Sure thing. We’d love to hear from you. Just call us on +44 (0) 330 041 5320 and tell us what you’d like to talk about. We’ll then track down the perfect employee to answer your questions.

What's New Pussycat?

This registration stuff is new for us. We hope you can see the benefit of it.

I've forgotten my password. How do I reset it?

Oh dear. It happens to all of us. Just click here to reset your password and follow the instructions.

I have a message saying I already have an account. What's that about?

That means you must have made an account at some previous time in your life. Instead of signing up, you need to login. If you want a reminder of your password, there's a link in the answer above. If you think something strange is going on, please drop us a line to let us know right away.

Thanks for signing up to The Drum. We hope you come back soon.
