Trainee Account Manager
Location: Glasgow
Overview
The key role of a Trainee Account Manager is to attract and retain new and lapsed customers whilst working towards achievement of set individual targets and KPI’s.
Specific Responsibilities
- To sell the benefits of The Drum products to secure new business and increase revenue from existing/lapsed customers.
- Show an understanding of the principles of Customer Care
- To be continually aware of your progress to target and activity levels via accurate verbal and written communication to be discussed with your direct line manager
- To ensure you have enough leads to achieve target, bringing this to your line managers attention if there is a shortfall
- To work as part of the sales team and contribute ideas and feedback
- To take responsibility for attaining product/client knowledge across The Drum’s portfolio
- To be confident and enthusiastic when on the phone, demonstrating expertise in questioning effectively and matching the benefits of The Drum products to your customer’s needs.
- To research and be aware of competitor activity, industry trends and news and identify commercial opportunities from these.
- To be aware of competitor packages for similar products and identify commercial opportunities from their product set
- To ensure the correct use of Salesforce and adhere to all activity KPI’s set by the HOS/Commercial Director
- To attend corporate events as required and to represent the company in a professional manner.
- To work within the agreed rates.
