I’m a stranger in this town is a project focusing on the notion of “home” as a place of origin where a person belongs assumed by the area they grew up in. While most people hold dear memories of “home”, these emotions are opposite for the artist. She acknowledges the imprint of her birthplace through otherworldly representations of the town collaged into her own body. Through this project, the artist hopes to encourage the viewers to re-examine their assumptions about the geographical origins of other people and their consequences.

I am a visual artist using still and moving image technologies to express myself. In my practice, I focus on the emotions, identities, embodied perception and alternative realities. I am keen on depicting unconventional subjects and topics as well as finding new ways of capturing more mainstream ones. My primary sources of inspiration are music and cinema. Apart from producing art, I am passionate about curating and writing. In the summer of 2019, I organised and curated my first exhibition focusing on the topic of femininity, entitled Plus Gender. For my final thesis, I researched and discussed the exploration of national identity through photography. I enjoy writing reviews, especially of exhibitions. I work on a freelance basis, and I am always excited to meet new people and visit new places. Please get in touch with me to discuss ideas and collaborations.
