The artwork features Cillian Murphy’s character Tommy Shelby and was commissioned by the BBC to reveal that February 27 will see the Brummie gangster drama begin its final season.
Street artist Akse is the talent behind the 12.71m (42ft) high artwork which was organized through Global Street Art Agency. The project took a week to complete and can be found in the city’s Digbeth area. Akse's previous work includes a painting of England footballer Marcus Rashford in Manchester last year.
British screenwriter Steven Knight’s drama is set 1900s England and centers on a gang, led by fierce boss Tommy Shelby, that sews razor blades into the peaks of their caps.
To celebrate the sixth and final season, Cineworld Cinema in Birmingham will be holding a red carpet screening of the first episode.
