Ocean Outdoor secures Wimbledon live-broadcast rights with Jaguar Land Rover sponsorship

Ocean Outdoor has secured the rights to live-stream the Wimbledon Championships this July, including a live broadcast of both finals, in a partnership deal with The All England Lawn Tennis Club and BBC Sport.

The deal will see Ocean air both the men’s and women’s singles finals on wi-fi enabled screens at specially built ‘fan zones’ within Westfield Stratford City and Westfield London Square, supported by a UK-wide diet of daily highlights and real-time scores, all of which will be sponsored by Jaguar Land Rover.

Ocean's head of content and sponsorship, Kevin Henry, said "This is ground-breaking content for out-of-home and guarantees exposure for the Championships across our portfolio. The partnership allows Ocean to broadcast both live games and highlights which will be sponsored this year by Jaguar, official car of The Championships, Wimbledon."

The Championships will screen across Ocean’s outdoor network in nine cities from 1 to 14 July with Jaguar branding appearing in a 60-second loop.

Ocean, which last year acquired Forrest Media, has already made its first forays into live-streaming by carrying fashion shows for designer Victoria Beckham as well as Formula E race coverage.
