Roku has powered ahead of Apple TV and Chromecast to be named as the most popular streaming device in India according to Jana.
Roku grabbed a 54.38% share while Apple TV occupied 28.3% and Google's Chromecast had 13.31%.

The study further revealed that Amazon beat rival Flipkart as the most preferred shopping destination with 46.01% searches. Flipkart occupied just 20.90% followed by eBay and Snapdeal at 9.91% and 7.87% respectively.
Jana's research was conducted on mobile search traffic in India over its mCent browser from July 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017.
Nathan Eagle, CEO and founder of Jana said: “Roku’s popularity among Indian consumers was well known, but it was surprising to see just how big of a lead it had against its two main rivals. It’s clear that the company’s strategy of focusing on affordability and value resonates well with Indian consumers and a big reason why it continues to steal market share from its nearest competitors.”
