Indian herbal brand Dabur forms an alliance with Amazon to grow sales in the US

Ayurvedic (Herbal) medicine and natural consumer products manufacturer Dabur India announced its partnership with Amazon to expand and strengthen its reach in the US.

As part of the partnership, Amazon through its global selling program will help Dabur take 30 products from its range such as, Vatika hair oil, Meswak toothpaste, Red toothpaste, Chyawanprash to consumers in the US to boost sales. Dabur will also offer an exclusive range of products specially created for Amazon’s global customers.

According to Krishan Kumar Chutani, executive director, consumer care business, Dabur, “ Consumers, particularly the millennials, are increasingly embracing natural products to meet their daily health and personal care needs."

He further added: "We are very pleased to partner with Amazon via their global selling program, which allows us direct access to their consumers in the US and expand our footprint exponentially. Our special offering for Amazon customers is a range of exclusive products for global audiences using organic and natural ingredients."

Gopal Pillai, director and general manager, seller services, Amazon India said: "This alliance will help Dabur to expand internationally as they increase their reach and further penetrate into Amazon’s global marketplaces. Under the global selling program, Amazon will help provide Dabur a marketplace to showcase their vast range that will satiate the growing appetite for quality Indian products amongst global consumers."

Brandz top 50 most valuable Indian brands ranked Dabur at number 20 as an increase in demand for local products continues to benefit the local brands.
