Amazon's virtual assistant Alexa can do many things, from ordering products to controlling a smart home and playing music. Now for the first time it can read the latest fashion updates as part of a partnership with Fashion Fix Daily.

Fashion Fix Daily is an independent online magazine written by influencers, and the first fashion magazine to be read aloud on Amazon Echo, the smart speaker.

The magazine will write daily content specifically for voice-first tech devices, focused on fashion news, trends and updates.

Amanda Davies, editor-in-chief, explained: “Audio is the next step in publishing and at Fashion Fix Daily, we are constantly looking for new ways to communicate with our readers, so Alexa was a perfect progression for us and we are thrilled to be at the forefront of such an exciting new platform.”

Fashion Fix Daily is the first fashion publication on the platform and joins the likes of Sky, BBC and Guardian.

Pizza brand Domino's yesterday (31 July) announced it has enabled voice-activated Amazon Echo ordering in the UK, allowing customers to have a pizza delivered without lifting a finger.
