The judges have had their say, the nominations for the Chip Shop Awards are out and you can view them here.

The diverse and multi-faceted panel of judges includes Adam Fish, Barney Worfolk Smith, Beri Cheetham, Bo Hellberg, Claire Scott, Flo Heiss, Hollie Newton, Joe McEwan, John Jessup, Laura Jordan-Bambach, Nick Entwistle, Sam Cartmell, Toufic Beyhum and Victoria Buchanan.

They all gathered, to pick through entry after entry to find those worthy of a hallowed Chip. Their winners will be announced Thursday 9 June at the Electric Brixton (you can buy your tickets here).

Below is a snapshot of some of the nominations. Warning, if you're easily offended, it is probably best you do not scroll down. But first, here are some out of context quotes from the judging panel made on the day. I'm afraid we can't give anything away, you'll have to guess which work matches each quote:

“Best use of Trump I have seen.”

“If they haven’t ran that, they should." *Through a fit of laughter*.

“Best use of vandalism means they should vandalise the bloody ad.”

“Best ad without a headline – riddled with fucking headlines.”

“I didn’t get that.” “Well you’re stupid” *More laughter*.

“Give me their email – I am going to pitch that to the client!”

“Everything else in the category was fucking horrible.”

“What the hell is that?! Please make a WTF category! I’m traumatised.”

“To the pub.”
