Google aims to increase people's trust in search results and further tap into consumers search demand directly, rather than directing them towards other platforms to read the same updates.

It allows the users to see images, videos, GIFs, events, polls posted directly by the person or organization they are searching according to Lauren Clark, product manager, Search, and Manan Singhi, strategic partner development manager.

If the users, for example, search for the movie -Tiger Zinda Hai, they will see verified updates directly from the source (in this case Tiger Zinda Hai updates from its production house Yash Raj Film's verified account) right in the collection of cards available in the search result (the Knowledge Panel, as seen in the picture above).

Indian brands Marico, ShopClues and Ford recently shared insights on how digital has changed consumer behaviour at 'Google for India'.
