BBC One has unveiled a holiday campaign which centres on heart-warming family moments this Christmas season.

The broadcaster worked with Red Bee Media to create the idents, which feature a magical forest where people are gathering to trim their Christmas trees.

A series of idents (see below) seeks to represent watching BBC One as a Christmas tradition that brings families together, like decorating the tree.

Kerry Moss, head of marketing for BBC One, said: "Through a magical set of idents, Red Bee has brought to life the role BBC One plays in the nation's homes at Christmas, celebrating some of our most loved shows.”

Several of the trees reference some of BBC One’s most popular shows, such as Strictly Come Dancing and The Great British Bake Off.

Bake Off made quite a splash this year on social media, as fans tweeted nearly one million times during the 2014 series – a 170 per cent increase on the 370,000 tweets from the previous year.

This year the BBC also released its interactive drama series Football United, which combined fictional and archived content to tell the true story of a World War One era football team.
