Ashby most recently set up the programmatic and paid social team at Epiphany and has led media and digital campaigns for 18 years on a variety of brands, including Yorkshire Water, Nyetimber, Pandora, Stokke, DFS, ScS, Dream Beds, Jacuzzi UK, Thomas Sanderson, mobiles.co.uk, Waterstones and TK Maxx.

In 2020, Ashby became a paid media consultant and now works with agencies and brands on a freelance basis, helping them with proposition, product, growth and activation.

“I’m really excited to be working with the dedicated and friendly team at Summit who really understand what’s best for its clients,” said Ashby. “I’ll be helping them build on the great work they are already doing to bring out its extensive retail expertise and further enhance its paid social and programmatic offering. Summit’s ability to tie together real consumer insights and enhance forecasting and planning with demand data is incredibility strong and provides a huge opportunity to launch something new in the market.”

As paid media consultant at Summit, Ashby will work closely with Carl Hutchinson, Summit’s marketing services product owner, and be key to the expansion of its paid social proposition.

Hutchinson said: “Having Emma join the business and support with our proposition development has been phenomenal. Her energy and passion, combined with her knowledge of the industry, has not only inspired the wider business but has helped us highlight the areas we took for granted, which are actually what sets us apart as an agency. Bringing expertise from other areas of the business to the forefront of our social and programmatic proposition will help us serve our clients now and in the future to continue to achieve their goals.”

Martin Corcoran, marketing director of Summit, added: “We’re really excited and proud to have a top industry talent like Emma join the team. Adding Emma’s vast experience to an already established and high performing team means we can really kick on with our paid social proposition and deliver even more value to our clients through performance marketing channels.”
