An event filled with anticipation and excitement, the winners of The Drum Awards for Marketing APAC 2023 were revealed in a show broadcast on The Drum TV earlier today (May 30).

Celebrating the best and brightest in advertising, marketing and innovation across the Asia Pacific region, the awards highlight the remarkable accomplishments of the individuals and teams who made them a success.

The Chair Award, a symbol of outstanding achievement, was presented to Octagon for its work with Mastercard. Octagon’s unwavering commitment to innovation and creativity has resulted in the creation of the Mastercard Sonic Trophy, a revolutionary concept that transcends traditional sponsorship activations. By seamlessly blending sound, design and technology, Octagon has provided Mastercard with an unparalleled platform to connect with audiences on a deeper emotional level.

The highlight of the evening was, of course, the Grand Prix, which went to ‘The First Digital Nation’ campaign by The Monkeys, part of Accenture Interactive, for the Government of Tuvalu. This groundbreaking initiative, powered by technology and creativity, has sparked global action on climate change. Through the visionary work of The Monkeys, Tuvalu’s message of environmental preservation and sustainability has resonated with audiences worldwide. The Grand Prix accolade was a testament to the campaign’s ability to inspire real change and ignite a global movement.

Nathalie Ramirez was crowned the Agency Leader of the Year for her unique leadership style that has shattered barriers and empowered her teams at Maker Lab to reach unprecedented heights. Brand Team of the Year was meanwhile awarded to Rascal + Friends for its work with CocoMelon, the number one kids entertainment brand.
