“We believe that our combined expertise will drive constant dialogue within the regional esports scene between fans, professional gamers and brands, growing Singapore’s gaming ecosystem to be on par with their global counterparts,” said Roy Kek, chief executive officer and founder of Emerge Esports.

“The collaboration will not only ramp up the quality of content being produced, but will also equip content creators with the right channel to post their ideas to garner greater opportunities.”

Maurizio Barbieri, Twitter’s head of sports and gaming partnerships, SEA and Greater China, added: “We are excited to be working with Emerge. The partnership does not only reflect our commitment to support Singapore’s growing esports community, but also provides gamers with opportunities to showcase and celebrate esports content on Twitter in Singapore and across the globe. Through this partnership, we look to strengthen Twitter’s position as the go-to social platform for the latest updates in the gaming world and connect to gamers wherever they are.”
