Independent UK PR agency, Rooster, celebrated its 20th anniversary last week with the launch of its £50K pro-bono sustainability PR competition.

The agency invited over 130 journalists and clients to commemorate two decades of operating PR services across the travel, lifestyle and business sectors and unveil the work it's done rebranding its statement of intent.

The new Rooster tagline - We are pr’ - now also features bold and yellow colouring to highlight the team's enthusiasm and expertise. Rooster’s new website launched this week, showcasing the agency’s diverse skillset and experience.

James Brooke, managing director at Rooster, said: “Our new brand reflects the energy, passion and enthusiasm the Rooster team puts into everything we do. We consistently receive feedback from clients and journalists that our team is genuine, creative, talented and results-driven, and our new shop window brings our company culture to the forefront.”

Rooster is also launching a new sustainability PR service, which provides brands and businesses with expert guidance and strategy for communicating environmental initiatives. The agency is keen to support businesses to better communicate how they can positively make an impact in the world.

Brooke added: “ As we celebrate this impressive milestone, we‘re excited to unveil a rebrand that better reflects who we are. Rooster has thrived for 20 years as an independent agency, which is no mean feat. Our new identity perfectly communicates our position as a leading PR agency, servicing clients across B2B and B2C sectors such as Flight Centre, Visit Cyprus, Tempur, Vastint UK and ECA International.”

To mark the agency's expanded offering, Rooster is holding its annual £50K pro-bono PR campaign, which will be judged by a panel of environment and communications experts. The team will be looking for a candidate taking strides in sustainability; accepting wide-ranging submissions from product innovations to not-for-profit organisations.

“We’ve supported clients for years communicating sustainability initiatives, including ecoffee cup, Contura and Rickshaw Travel, and it’s an area that the team is passionate about,” said Brooke.“We’re pleased to open up our professional services in this area and partner with a network of environmental experts to help support clients in their efforts to protect the environment.”

The agency has also released the 'We are pr’ podcast in unison with its tagline, which will offer listeners tips on excelling in PR with case studies and discussions inspired by industry news and life at Rooster.

The first episode, titled 'The story so far…' features an interview between Rooster founder and CEO, Henry Hemming, and Brooke, who together chat about the agency's history and what should be expected from Rooster in future.
