The city of Pasadena is re-energised by a new marketing brand

The US city of Pasadena has launched a marketing brand as part of efforts to raise external awareness of the locale together with fostering a new sense of community pride.

A new logo, tagline and image communicate the new look although neither will replace the historic city seal, with the new brand instead used as a marketing tool to promote the area.

Mayor Jeff Wagner said: "The message of this marketing brand exemplifies what Pasadena is all about. The tag line Powering Possibilities has more than one meaning. From an industry standpoint, a huge portion of the energy resources that power our country are refined and produced right here. Because of that strong economic foundation, our jobs, our schools and our residents are blessed with the power to achieve countless possibilities."

Suzette McDowell, marketing manager for Pasadena Economic Development Corporation, added: “This new brand and tagline are a representation of the endless possibilities the great City of Pasadena has to offer to the community at large and beyond."

The new brand was created with input from community leaders to unite its citizens and foster a sense of optimism in the future.
