Creative Work of the Week: Unox puts a vegetarian spin on a Dutch classic

Unilever-owned brand, Unox, has released a spot to celebrate the launch of its vegetarian range in the Netherlands.

Unox got TBWA\Neboko onboard to help it broadcast this new offering, who developed the concept, while the creative production studio Ambassdors created the animation.

In the animated film - a first for the brand - a butcher's nature-loving daughter sneakily swaps out her family's classic smoked sausage in favour of Unox's veggie equivalent.

“Because Unox is known for its meat sausages, we needed to approach this vegetarian campaign in a disruptive way. That’s why we created a story of a little girl born in a butcher’s family. We chose to execute it in an animation to make this disruptive product coming from Unox stand out even more,” said Darre van Dijk, chief creative officer at TBWA\Neboko.

For its modern take on a classic that speaks to multiple generations, The Drum's readers voted it the Creative Work of the Week.
