  • iCar Asia has acquired Carmudi Indonesia.
  • SilverPush has acquired India’s largest recipe-sharing platform BetterButter.

EMEA wins

John Lewis Finance has added Harbour Collective to its roster of strategic and creative agencies.

The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has appointed Blue State to support its digital fundraising efforts in the UK, following a competitive pitch. Wavemaker was the incumbent agency.

Vodafone has concluded the pitch for its global media business (which is estimated to be worth £400m) appointing Dentsu Aegis' Carat to handle the account.

Japanese footwear brand Onitsuka Tiger has appointed Agenda21 as its principal European digital media agency.

Greenhouse Sports has appointed Dark Horses to work on an awareness and fundraising campaign.

Nicce has appointed Gung Ho to manage its UK press office, alongside brand activations.

The Royal British Legion has appointed Croud as its new digital marketing agency to ensure the charity’s unique contribution to society can reach new and relevant audiences.

Perspective Pictures has been appointed by Topman, Coach, Deliveroo, Huel and BYBI to create innovative and engaging stories for their online platforms.

Recipe has been appointed lead creative agency for Kingsmill by Allied Bakeries.

Brandnation has been appointed by luxe accessories brand, Abbott Lyon.

Domino’s Pizza has appointed One Green Bean as its retained consumer PR agency.

Vanguard has picked financial services specialist creative agency AML Group as its lead creative agency.

Impression has won a new contract with Cancer Research UK to help raise awareness of its charity events and fundraising initiatives through paid search activity.

APAC wins

Zalora has appointed Rice Singapore to support its regional corporate communications strategy and programme. Rice has also renewed its partnership with National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC).

Dentsu India has won the marketing communications mandate for stationary brand, Kokuyo Camlin.

World Vision has appointed BBH Singapore as a global agency partner for its child sponsorship programme.

Supercars Australia has appointed sports and entertainment agency Gemba as its research and insights partner.

Atomic 212° has been appointed to the media advertising account of Greater Bank.

The Coca Cola Company has appointed Imperfect Circle as the integrated brand experience partner for Sprite’s ASEAN account.

Reliance Smart has awarded its creative mandate to FCB Ulka.

Americas wins

McDonald’s has appointed Wieden+Kennedy New York as its new lead creative agency for US business. This marks a switch from Omnicom, which won the business in 2016 and created a bespoke agency, We Are Unlimited, to handle the McDonald’s business.

Digitas has been appointed to drive data-driven content marketing for Agoda across eight markets in Asia, plus Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Launches

Amp has launched its first US office in New York, following an influx of new business opportunities in the region.
