Access to develop global digital platform for spirits company

Manchester-based digital marketing agency Access has been appointed to develop a global digital platform for independent premium spirits company, Edrington.

The platform will provide global brand and product governance as well as provide the company with the tools and autonomy to create and personalise content to support localised campaigns in regional and country markets as well as accomodate customer tastes.

The team are developing the platform on Drupal 8 CMS and Acquia Cloud Site Factory, which will have the capability to build, update, and centrally manage hundreds of Drupal websites at global scale.

Although Edrington is headquartered in Scotland, it has joint venture operations around the world and employs over 3,000 people globally.

Edrington’s brands include The Macallan, Highland Park and The Glenrothes in the fast-growing Single Malt category. The company also has strategic partnerships with Tequila Partida and Wyoming Whiskey as well as The Famous Grouse Blended Scotch Whisky, Brugal premium rum from the Dominican Republic and Snow Leopard vodka.
