DA Judges 2019

Meet The Drum Digital Advertising Awards Europe 2019 judges: Financial Times, BBC, AppNexus

In 2018, Republic of Media and the Scottish Government won the Grand Prix for its campaign around the non-consensual sharing of intimate images, while Carat UK and NHS Blood and Transplant snapped up the Chair Award for their work on blood donor sign ups.

To determine who the outstanding players of the ad-tech industry for 2019 our expert panel of judges include:

Jessica Barrett

Jessica Barrett is the global head of programmatic at the Financial Times. She is currently based in London. Barrett joined the FT's New York team in 2013 as a campaign manager and went on to become head of US programmatic operations, before taking on her current role in April 2017. Her main focus is creating products that benefit clients and offer additional revenue streams for the FT. Under Barrett's leadership, the FT was placed on the AdExchanger Top 10 Programmatic Publishers of 2018 list, and won Best AdOps team at The Drum Digital Trading Awards.
So much work is put into marketing and advertising campaigns, it's important that we recognise the passionate people involved in making them successful. I like The Drum Awards because it includes 30+ categories that represent various teams within our industry.

Despite the complexity that technology can bring, I would simply like to see entrants submissions with innovative solutions that deliver a clear message and drive results beyond standard performance metrics.
Niki Stoker
Rabbit and Hare
Niki Stoker
commercial director EMEA
With over 19 years experience in digital advertising, working for some of the biggest Adtech names UK and worldwide, Niki Stoker's main focus is within creative and technology. She has experience across a plethora of platforms and systems and finds it fascinating how they are or could be connected. Currently, she spends her time educating brands, clients, employees or anyone who is interested on the wild eco system of the online advertising world. She attempts to demystify the acronym crazy industry and how it all fits together. With her agency, Rabbit and Hare, which she founded with her business partner Rob Ryan, they craft digital experiences for some of the world's biggest (and smallest) brands.
This is one of the most prestigious awards you can enter which means the level of creativity, strategy & ingenuity the entries display is huge. It's a great opportunity for companies to showcase their work in an appreciative environment, the awards always provide a bit of healthy competition pushing people do to their absolute best and in my eyes this can never be a bad thing.
