Kate Howe, currently chief executive officer of B2B agency Gyro, has been promoted to chief growth officer. She will work closely with the network’s portfolio of agency brands to drive overall growth and she will also become chairman of Gyro.

James Connelly, founder and executive chairman of mobile agency Fetch, becomes chief strategic development officer. Connelly will also lead the UK M&A strategy and new routes to market. He will remain the chairman of Fetch.

And Matthew Platts, chief executive officer of media brands, steps into the new position of chief commercial officer, where he will be responsible for building on existing relationships.

Alongside the three promotions, Dentsu Aegis has appointed two client-side figures to further bolster its line-up.

Anne Sewell is joining the network from Sky in the new role of chief people officer. She will work on improving the environment for Dentsu Aegis Network’s clients and teams.

Dennis Romijn has been hired to take on the role of chief financial officer. In his new role, he will oversee all financial matters and compliance for the business, which include helping to develop further integration and procedures across all agency brands.

Jay Tallon and Matthew Hook complete the senior leadership team line-up. Tallon will remain in her role as general counsel, while Hook will continue to focus on the strategic output across the network.

This new-look team, led by executive chairman Stef Calcraft, will work closely with the UK & Ireland leadership executive, which includes agency brand chief executive officers, regional and central function leads.

Calcraft said: "We are drawing on some of our most talented leaders and bringing in some new faces with a strong track record of building, transforming and growing some of the world’s most successful businesses and brands.

"Together with the promotion of Jo Sutherland to Carat chief exec and the arrival of Pippa Glucklich earlier this year, as well as our other established senior leaders, we have a multi-skilled entrepreneurial team of progressive thinkers to lead Dentsu Aegis Network’s next phase of growth.”

These appointments come in the wake of Dentsu Aegis' recent business wins, which include Mondelez, Heineken, Intel and most recently Co-operative Group.
