Rooster’s primary brief is to drive awareness for MedSailors, which offers balanced, unforgettable skippered sailing holidays in the Mediterranean and Caribbean for 20-35 year-olds. MedSailors is on a mission to prove that sailing holidays are not just for the rich and famous.
Launched in 2010, MedSailors has, across eight seasons, hosted over 20,000 travellers, extended its destination offering from Croatia to Greece, Turkey, Italy and the Caribbean and become the second biggest leaser of yachts in the world.
Navigate Travel co-founder Daniel Painter said: “With MedSailors we’ve created the magic formula for providing unforgettable sailing experiences on stunning coastlines hosted by the best skippers out there. We’re delighted to be working with Rooster in the UK and look forward to growing our brand while differentiating ourselves from the competition.”
Based in London and Auckland, Navigate Travel was founded by three Kiwi friends with a passion for travel and sailing; Daniel Painter, Jeremy Gleeson and Hamish Dobbie.
In 2014 they added Yacht Getaways to the Navigate Travel portfolio, offering premium sailing holidays for an older demographic with a wider range of vessels.
Wild Kiwi, which provides small group tours of New Zealand and Australia, was then founded in 2017. The flashpacker trips for 18-35 year-olds deliver a solution to the traditional big group bus tours, instead offering a more local, balanced option for up to 18 people.
James Brooke, managing director at Rooster, said: “Navigate Travel is right in Rooster’s sweet spot with a portfolio of successful travel brands looking to achieve additional cut-through and brand resonance. MedSailors is a hidden gem that has struck just the right balance in the skippered holiday market, while Yacht Getaways is targeting a more refined audience. Wild Kiwi is just the kind of flashpacking Gap Year experience that I wish had been around in my day!”
Rooster will be activating news generation, thought leadership, media relations and familiarisation campaigns for all three brands.
