The newly-created role has Oppenheimer leading strategic growth partnerships and brand marketing efforts for the company’s three locations in New York, Los Angeles and London.

Oppenheimer was previously at Ogilvy, where she oversaw new business opportunities across North America for nearly 5 years. During that time, she was responsible for the growth of $50m worth in revenue for a client list of Coca-Cola, Nationwide Insurance, Cisco, Motorola, Showtime and Southwest Airlines.

Prior to that, Oppenheimer worked at Y&R as its director of business development, and helped to launch content and branded entertainment firm Campfire, which has worked with HBO, Verizon, L’Oreal and Infiniti.

We’re Magnetic president Jessica Reznick said of her new colleague: “Simone will help steer and fuel this time of growth and evolution for our company by finding great new opportunities, and building our partnerships and footprint in a way that is true to our core and mission. Simone’s expertise is vast, and we’re thrilled to lean in on her experience to help us lead what we believe is the experience-first marketing revolution.”

Oppenheimer added: “The future of marketing is here and We’re Magnetic has clearly found the sweet spot. I look forward to joining such a unique and talented team who are powerfully defining the space and embracing innovation and creativity on the highest levels.”

The new chief marketer has joined the team at time that the agency's president calls "exciting" and one where the agency looks to advance existing partnerships, take on new assignments and grow its team. Reznick had previously spoken to The Drum about growth in live events and experiences, and had offered insights into how her agency helped clients steer clear of aiming for social buzz alone.
