Beauty brand L’Occitane has appointed The Corner, part of the Be Heard Group, as its first lead creative agency.

L'Occitane appoints The Corner
The Corner’s first work for the brand’s will be its Christmas campaign.
However, in the turbulent and increasingly competitive retail and beauty market, the company said it is looking to “build a new approach to marketing”.
Alain Harfouche, managing director for the UK, Ireland and Southern Europe, explained: “As we look to build a new approach to marketing for L’Occitane we found The Corner’s integrated solution of marrying data with creativity compelling. The strategy and approach gave us the confidence that they could support us as a long-term partner.”
The Corner pitched against three agencies, bringing in a team of specialists from across the Be Heard Group, including Freemavens and Agenda21, which will provide ongoing support now the account has been landed.
The pitch was run by Oystercatchers. There was no incumbent.
Neil Simpson, chief executive of The Corner said: “It’s a beautiful thing. We are so excited to be appointed by a quality brand with real ambition.”
It comes after Be Heard recently won the digital account for Aviva and the creative account for the London Business School.
