Cautionary Duracell ad highlights risk of running out of juice

Duracell has extended its ‘Trust is Power’ proposition with the release of its latest spot - a cautionary tale of a fantasy football fan foolishly relying on non-Duracell batteries to power a wireless mouse.

Devised by Wieden+Kennedy New York, ‘Fantasy Draft’ depicts the implications of an ill-timed battery failure, resulting in the auto-selection of NFL placekicker Justin Tucker to one fan’s fantasy team, much to his chagrin.

Tucker has also been drafted in to star in a supporting, and ‘very serious’ public service announcement to remind Fantasy Football participants to choose Duracell tom power all their campaign needs.

Previous W+K spots for Duracell have depicted a world without batteries to hammer home the importance of portable power in people’s day-to-day lives.
