British pie makers Pukka Pies has renewed and extended its contract with Kazoo Communications, following the success of the last year’s partnership which saw Pukka Pie sales rise by more than 24%.

Kazoo’s remit extends now outside of consumer campaigns and press office to include trade media relations and corporate profiling as well as outreach to food service titles.

Pukka’s head of marketing, Lindsay Filmer said: “We have been continually impressed by Kazoo’s passion and creativity. We felt that their hunger to achieve tangible results for the business, coupled with their integrated approach to below the line campaign activation, made them the right partner to help shape and implement our exciting strategy.”

Kazoo’s managing partner, Lydia Hoye added: “Pukka Pies is an untapped brand success story and we believe it has a huge opportunity to celebrate its place as one of the best loved and authentic brands of our nation. Our client partnership means we share a bold and dynamic approach that has already shown fantastic business results.”

The next phase of the PR programme will include support for refreshed ad creative and a celebration of the pie brand reaching its 55th anniversary as a family run business in the heart of Leicestershire.
