The Daily Mirror has welcomed US president Donald Trump to the UK in style, by commissioning a Mexican ‘Mirrorachi’ band to shadow the leader throughout his British visit.

The sombrero wearing quartet normally refer to themsleves as the Mariachi band but have rebranded after being sponsored by the tabloid for the duration of Trump’s first presidential visit to these shores.

Playing to Trump’s aversion to Mexicans, the band have written a number of parody songs with which to regale protesters culminating in a ‘Together Against Trump’ rally at London’s Trafalgar Square where they could play to a crowd of up to 50,000.

Mirror editor Alison Phillips explained: "There is obviously a lot of concern from many people about Trump's visit, so we're pleased to have our very own Mirrorachi band there to entertain the protesters as they voice their concerns."

The band have already been quick to make their presence felt in the capital, having held practice jam sessions outside Buckingham Palace, Parliament and Tower Bridge.

Marketers haven't been slow to grasp the PR potential of Trump's tour, with The Tenth Man delivering a very Russian insult by way of a crop circle.
