Digital agency Dept continues its acquisition spree

Following the creation of Dept earlier this year, which saw 13 creative agencies joining forces in Europe, the agency has announced two more acquisitions - Yourposition and Factor-a - as it looks to consolidate the business throughout Europe.

Zurich based Yourposition is the first Swiss agency to join Dept, offering its clients access to expertise in the areas of digital marketing, data analysis and technology, working with clients including Amag, Jumbo, Adecco and Wander.

Lukas Stuber, founder of Yourposition said: "Yourposition celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. We are therefore among the pioneers in digital marketing. With Dept, we are now even better positioned to provide our e-commerce customers with comprehensive strategy and execution on digitisation”.

Cologne-based Factor-a aims to help international brands in increasing their success on the Amazon platform. With a team of approximately 100 people factor-a works with brands such as BIC, Montblanc, Fissler, Warsteiner and Ravensburger to become visible in Amazon’s product search along with managing product data, content and sales-boosting ad campaign options.

Factor-a co-director Marc Aufzug explained the deal: “Driving our growth with the power and agility of Dept is a truly unique opportunity. In Dept we see a reflection of our values and ideas, the enthusiasm to build and scale a business together and enjoy work.”

Dept is an international digital agency, headquartered in Amsterdam. The agency now employs a team of 900 operating out of ten European countries and the US, citing a turnover of more than 100 million Euros.
