Engage 2018: Moving Forward

Broadcaster and writer Stacey Dooley; Brian O’Kelley, CEO at AppNexus; Frances Ralston-Good, Hearts & Science UK chief executive; and Fleur DeForce, beauty and fashion vlogger will share their insights and provide unique perspectives on the future at the conference on 7 June.

Best known for her Stacey Dooley Investigates series on BBC, this year Dooley also released her first book, On the Front Line with Women Who Fight Back, documenting some of the amazing women she's encountered in the past ten years of her career. Meanwhile, Brian O’Kelley needs little introduction to the industry. As CTO of Right Media, which later sold to Yahoo! in 2007, he led the team that invented the world’s first online advertising exchange. Ralston-Good leads Omnicom’s Hearts & Science in the UK, a data-drive media agency with shopper marketing, content activation and innovation at its core. Beauty and fashion vlogger Fleur’s YouTube channel has more than 1.4million subscribers.

Engage 2018, Moving Forward will take place at The Barbican and promises to bring together inspirational speakers to network with over 1,200 attendees, celebrate digital and encourage the industry to stop and think about the future through a different lens.

As the rise of artificial intelligence, machine learning and cryptocurrencies take centre stage, marketers are feeling the pressure to cope with this tide of change. According to Gartner, martech spending by CMOs has fallen by 15% amid concerns over marketing’s ability to acquire new technologies effectively.

Speakers also include: Polly Curtis, editor-in-chief at HuffPost UK; Clare Enders, CEO and owner at Enders Analysis; Simon Gosling, futurist at Unruly and Steven Bartlett, CEO at The Social Chain Group; Laura Wade, EMEA VP of Content + Innovation at Essence.
