Current Marketing hires two in Chicago and two in New York

Current Marketing, an Interpublic Group agency, today announced new hires in Chicago and New York, adding talent to its client experience, content, insights and integrated media communities.

Sarah Anderson, Leah Hattendorf, Matt Sulzer, Blair Grant

The Chicago office has added Leah Hattendorf, senior vice president-planning, and Matt Sulzer, creative director.

Hattendorf steps into a critical role leading the insights community, delivering on the agency’s realistics process for clients and prospects. She was most recently at the creative Chicago shop The Escape Pod, and before that at JWT New York, DDB and FCB Chicago. Her client background is a match for Current, with CPG, food, home and insurance expertise.

Also new to the Chicago office, Sulzer spent the last 15 years as a creative lead at agencies including VML, Critical Mass and DDB. Early in his career, he served as a project manager at PR Newswire. He has worked across automotive, CPG, financial, healthcare, technology and travel categories.

In New York, Sarah Anderson has joined as executive vice president-integrated media, and Blair Grant as an account supervisor.

Anderson will lead the integrated media community, while also overseeing the agency’s travel portfolio including clients Azamara, Club Med, Empire State Development and Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. Agency wide, she will help create brand stories worthy of coverage, conversation and engagement that leverage earned, owned and paid media platforms. Before Current, Anderson spent 20 years developing integrated media strategies, coaching executives in thought leadership, media training spokespeople and driving business development through her own consultancy and work at several top public relations agencies.

With a background focused on food, home and lifestyle marketing, Grant was recruited to support East Coast-based clients De’Longhi, Sun Products (Henkel) and Samsung. Her past experience includes working with Butler Home, Cuisinart and Revol Cookware, and running her own event planning company.
