Internet radio and streaming audio service Pandora has promoted Susan Panico to its senior leadership team as senior vice president of strategic solutions. She will report directly to Pandora’s chief revenue officer John Trimble.
Panico was previously vice-president of B2B marketing for the company, where she oversaw the marketing strategy for Pandora’s billion-dollar advertising business.
She replaces former senior vice-president of strategic solutions, Heidi Browning, who left Pandora last year to become chief marketing officer of the National Hockey League (NHL).
In her new role, Panico will be responsible for overseeing Pandora’s B2B marketing, sales development and research functions, and leading the overall B2B strategic marketing roadmap for the company.
Prior to joining Pandora in 2012, Panico held various senior digital entertainment roles at Sony PlayStation, where she was responsible for many facets including marketing, original programming, ad sales, e-commerce, customer loyalty and community management.
A statement by Pandora said that the company is committed to helping brands connect with their customers no matter where they are: “Panico plays a critical role in the continued growth of Pandora’s advertising business. Her expertise in building up robust marketing teams and integrated programs makes her a perfect fit for this multifunctional role.”
Panico is based out of Pandora’s headquarters in Oakland, California.
