New Yorkers who were hoping to squeeze in a few extra days in LA before this weekend’s Grammy Awards found themselves in a frenzy on Thursday when thousands of flights were canceled due to the massive snowstorm that hit the Northeast.
But some lucky travelers were able to score a last-minute early morning flight on Friday, thanks to JetBlue. According to Billboard, the airline added a “Grammy Rescue Flight” to its flight schedule to ensure that Grammy-goers would be able to make it to LA before Sunday’s ceremony.
“We’ve added a number of extra flights to help travelers caught in the snow get where they need to go, including this flight between New York and Los Angles,” a spokesperson for JetBlue told Billboard. “Just in time for the big Grammy ceremony this weekend.”
