How on-going economic and political uncertainty surrounding last year’s Brexit decision will impact UK-based marketing services agencies is a key focus for this year’s Benchpress Report by The Wow Company, the research stage for which is now open.

Accountancy firm, The Wow Company has conducted research for its annual benchmarking study for the last five years (see last year's report here) and this year’s research focuses on the anticipated impact of the Brexit negotiations, along with how to find and retain the best talent, what technology agencies are using to operate efficiently, and what they'll be doing differently in 2017 to grow quicker.

The Wow Company is inviting agency owners across the UK to complete the survey before the end of January. All participants will receive priority access to the benchmarking report findings, enabling them to get a head start on their rivals in figuring out how their plans for 2017 shape up against other agencies.

Peter Czapp, co-founder at The Wow Company, expects to see over 500 agencies take part and is keen to provide a broad view of the agency sector, with participants from all corners of the country, with many niche agencies represented.

Speaking about this year’s research, Czapp said: “Our benchmarking survey has grown massively over the last five years and now gives agency leaders an in-depth picture into what is going on in their sector, covering everything from profitability, hourly charge out rates, pitch conversion percentages, forecasted growth rates, fluctuations in staffing levels and much more.

“Obviously with the Brexit negotiations likely to dominate the news in 2017, we are going to explore how that uncertainty has affected agencies since the vote last year, both in terms of whether they have already felt any financial impact and whether their plans for growth in the coming years have been affected in any way. I'm really excited to see the results and share them with those agencies that take part.”

The research stage closes on 31 January and The Wow Company will publish their Benchpress Report in March. You can join in here.
