The Drum comes up trumps at Business Media Brand of the Year at the PPA Digital Awards

The Drum has been named as Media Brand of the Year at this year's PPA Digital awards in London.

The Drum was named as Business Media Brand of the Year against competition from nominees Global Dating Insights, Investment Week and Risk.net, however it lost out for the Digital Publisher of the Year and the Content Team of the Year prizes which it was also up for.

Stephen Lepitak, editor of The Drum, commented: "What a fantastic win near the end of another hugely successful year for the publication as our international expansion plans in US and Asia prove a huge success and our plans in the UK and Europe continue to resonate with our readers. This is recognition for the whole company which is full of exceptionally hard working teams of people who each make The Drum the brand it has become."

Elsewhere The Drum has also been nominated 11 times for the Scottish PPA Magazine awards which will be announced at the beginning of December.

Last December, The Drum was named Business Media Brand of the Year at the PPA Independent Publisher Awards, while it also won Best Event for Do It Day which takes place for 2016 in New York and London tomorrow (10 November.)
