How influential can micro-influencers be? Twitter decided to find out by teaming up with Annalect to study people’s receptivity to influencers on Twitter. It found that 49% of its respondents relied on influencers, coming second to relying on friends which was 56%.

But embarking on influencer marketing can be challenging if not done right. Brands need to cultivate an authentic marketing message alongside finding quality influencers.
