Being the world’s most followed athlete on social media invariably means a constant barrage of selfie requests when out in public, something which Cristiano Ronaldo’s headphone brand, ROC Live Life Loud, has decided to play on in its latest ad ‘Tea vs Photo’.

The undercover-like spot was created by social content company Shareability and shows Ronaldo sitting in a café trying to drink a cup of camomile tea while being constantly interrupted by a steady flow of fans and café employees.

Throughout the ad graphics run down each side of the video keeping score of the number of sips of tea Ronaldo manages against the number of photos he is asked to take. The flow of fans quickly begins to increase as they observe his willingness to engage with them and the end result is far from balanced as the 31 year-old barely has the chance to pick up his drink.

During the video Ronaldo wears his Monster-branded headphones and apart from a couple of moody comments, remains largely friendly and appears to pose for every last photo request.

The ad marks the second time that Shareability, which co-owns the speaker and headphone brand with Ronaldo, has worked with the football star. Last year the California-based firm created a hugely popular undercover ad in which a disguised Ronaldo kicks a ball around Madrid unnoticed.
