Google Street View may have already been to Antarctica and the Grand Canyon but Disney’s Magic Kingdom has remained steadfastly off-limits – until now.

Holidaymakers were surprised to see a Google employee snaking his way through their midst with a backpack mounted 360 degree camera as the technology firm began its photographic sweep of Disnelyland, taking in the riverfront area and even a boat ride to Tom Sawyer Island.

Disney itself is remaining tight-lipped on any future incorporation of their park into Google Maps’ Street View feature although it has previously opened the doors to Disneyland Paris to Google’s roving camera.

Disney is the only major US theme park operator not to have a presence on Street View with rival parks such as SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Adventure Island all having embraced the medium.
