Marriott’s AC Hotels names Figliulo&Partners as agency of record

AC Hotels, Marriott’s European-inspired global hotel chain, has named NYC-based Figliulo&Partners as its agency of record as the brand sets its sights on expansion in the US.

Figliulo&Partners will be responsible for all positioning and branding responsibilities for AC Hotels, which currently has more than 80 locations in countries including France, Italy, Portugal and the US. The Marriott brand is set to open 50 more hotels over the next several years, with 22 of them expected to open in 2016.

Of the brand’s new agency, Dan Vinh, VP of global marketing-lifestyle brands at Marriott International, said: “We chose F&P because of their strategic thinking, breakthrough creativity and commitment to innovation. We are excited to work with F&P to create experiences that inspire creativity for the next-gen traveler.”

Work from the agency is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2016 across a variety of lifestyle and business outlets, including print, out-of-home, video, digital, social and mobile.

Last January, Virgin Atlantic named Figliulo&Partners as creative agency of record. Other clients the agency works with include Sprint, Yahoo and Carnival Cruise Line’s Seabourn brand.
