Pay TV rivals BT Sport and Sky Sports have acquired the rights to 30 matches each from Scottish football’s top flight until the end of the 19/20 season.

Both broadcasters renewed the rights to show up to thirty matches each from the Scottish Premiership, with Sky Sports coming up to three decades supporting Scotland’s premier division.

Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: "With the addition of the popular end-of-season Play-Offs, BT Sport looks forward to serving Scottish football fans for the next five years with regular league coverage.”

Barney Francis, Sky Sports managing director, added: "The SPFL is a major part of our unrivalled football schedule, in addition to the Scottish Cup and Scotland's UEFA Euro 2016 and FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifiers."

The deal was given the green light by all 12 of the division's clubs.
