Paddy Power has delivered a cheeky message to MPs on the eve of the election informing them that they will soon be “fired”.

Tying in with the general election which finally goes to ballot Thursday 7 May, Paddy Power parked a truck bearing the message “You’re getting sacked in the morning” outside of Westminster Parliament today (6 May).

Odds on to lose their seats are political heavyweights Danny Alexander, Jim Murphy, Esther McVey and Douglas Alexander with the bookmaker also surmising that PM David Cameron, Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage of Ukip may also struggle to acquire their seats.

A total 75 per cent MPs are expected to be unseated after the nation has its say tomorrow, according to Paddy Power.

Emulating a chant birthed in the stands of football grounds across the UK, Paddy Power said: “Sacked in the morning, you’re getting sacked in the morning, sacked in the mooorning, you’re getting sacked in the morning.”

The activity was also shared through the bookmaker's social channels.
