Apple Watches have barely been removed from their packaging, yet many brands, both big and small, have already begun tailoring their software to meet the needs of the product.

Here’s a look at some of the apps already available with big capabilities to suit the small product.

Amazon

With Amazon’s Apple watch app, users can make purchases instantly from their wrists. They can search products with the voice search and then choose to either purchase the product, or save it to their wish lists.

If however, a user wants to do anything additional or more complicated, he must ‘handoff’ the action to another Apple device, like a phone or tablet. He can then make major changes like shipping address or credit card number.

Uber

Uber’s app for the Apple Watch allows riders to hail cabs to their exact locations, as opposed to the phone app, which can sometime be slightly incorrect. They can then watch the cabs route on the app as it approaches them.

Much like the Amazon app, users are able to switch back to their phones if they want to do anything more complicated than hail a cab.

Starbucks

The Starbuck watch app allows users to find their nearest Starbucks location and view rewards and starts associated with their account with the chain

Once they enter a Starbucks, users can use the app to pay for purchases using Passbook. The Starbucks app still isn’t compatible with Apple Pay.

Twitter

Given the 140 character limit, Twitter on the watch is fairly simple. However, users will have to use the voice function to create tweets.

Overall, the app is probably better suited to browsing Twitter rather than writing tweets or interacting with others.

Pandora

The popular music streaming service has also made itself available to Apple Watch users.

As always, users can mark their favorite and least favorite songs, allowing the app to tailor music to their preferences.Users also have the option of allowing push notifications from the app.
