Die hard Star Wars aficionados unable to make the trek to Las Vegas to dress up as C-3PO for the annual Celebration convention are in for a treat as organisers promise to live stream large portions of the three day event on their official website.

This will enable fans, friends and the just plain curious to log on and see what all the fuss is about; including panel conversations with franchise royalty Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill as well as discussions with director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy, both busily beavering away on the latest entry in the series – Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

All in all over 30 hours of content will be pumped out giving a global audience a sneak peak at all the latest new products and media tie-ins are announced as excitement builds around the cinematic release.

The live stream kicks off at 18:00GMT on 16 April through to the closing ceremony on 19 April.
