Crispin Reed has been named as managing director of JDO Brand Design and Innovation, tasked with capitalising on the agency’s success and continuing growth.

Reed, who for the last 10 years has held managing director roles at brand and innovation consultancies including Sterling Brands and Brandhouse, takes over the role from Tim Jebb who is stepping down as managing director to focus on the role of chairman and client business director.

“We’ve been looking for the right managing director for the agency for over a year and now feel that we’ve found the perfect ‘fit’. Crispin has a very well rounded perspective on marketing and brands having worked in leading global advertising, brand design and innovation consultancies, across the US, Europe and Asia, and as a marketing director in the beauty sector. We’re really excited with his addition to the team,” said Jebb.

Reed spent 13 years with Leo Burnett in London and Singapore working with major FMCG clients including Procter & Gamble, before going on to run the London office of the German advertising and design group, Springer & Jacoby.

Reed added: “I’m thrilled to be joining JDO. Their thinking and creative work is world class, and they’re a great group of people. I’ve watched their rise to fame for some time and I now look forward to helping take the agency to the next stage of its development.”

During his career Reed has also spent time client side with US-based Cradle Holdings, parent brand of fine fragrance and skincare brands including Penhaligons, L’Artisan Parfumeur and Erno Laszlo.
