Big Communications digital director Matt Butterworth has left the agency after almost two years.

Matt Butterworth

Butterworth, planning and digital partner at the Midlands-headquartered creative agency, was promoted to the role in 2013 not long after joining.

"I have been incredibly fortunate to spend the best part of two years at Big. It has been a hugely rewarding time and has given me the opportunity to work overseas, work as a client partner and to do so alongside the best and some of the nicest people in the business," said Butterworth who added that's he planned to pursue "other investments and opportunities".

Dylan Bogg, chief executive of Big Communications, added: "Matt has accomplished a huge amount in a small amount of time and it is something we are hugely grateful for. We wish him luck in his next adventure."

The Drum understands that Butterworth will be directly replaced.
